The important part is we have a healthy respect for each other so we both know how far is too far...

This is nothing, you should see what happens when Chris (Doc Sprocket) gets in on the act

Yeah, I dig it. We all do the same where I work. If we're not messing with one another, we probably don't like each other.

Male bonding is great :lolgoku:

I respect all of you guys... I guess that means I should start messing with you all more ;) :p :D

There's nothing stopping you but, be prepared for the return fire ;)

4TZN 210, I must apologise for this hijinx hijack; this is just a sample of some of the BS we carry on with around here (Why do I find myself typing that more & more recently?)

The weather has been too cold to risk getting sick working in the garage, so I'll have to wait for the weekend when I can work during the day while its warmer. I got the flywheel off, but I can't seem to remove the cover behind it to access the internals. I'm so close, I just want to get everything disassembled so I can figure out what needs to be replaced and start posting some pics!

Access to the internals are through the side opposite the flywheel. Are you saying that you are having trouble pulling that side cover off?

It's been years since I've cracked my case open, and I rememeber Tecumsehs having a C clip around the driveshaft that has to be removed to pull the case cover; but I don't remember that being the case (pardon the pun) with the Subaru. Try turning the cover and wiggle it back and forth as you pull it off. The governer guts may be hanging on inside of there.

If all else fails, reference that Subaru manual page, and check out the service manual for their procedure on dismantling the engine. This manual will be a must, as there is a specific procedure to putting that cam drive chain back into the engine and getting the cam timing correct.
