New Member in FL - 2 seat Carter

Hello folks. I joined up to share the work I’ve done & will be doing to my sons Carter 2 seater. It’s a one wheel peeler with a 6hp Tecumseh we got free from a neighbor. I’m not sure on the model. I will start up a build thread with details of the work.

In the meantime here’s a picture from when we first got it. I don’t know what model the kart is...maybe one of you folks could help out?

How come the neighbor doesn't know what it is?

It looks like a latter day model when Carter merged with some Taiwanese outfit (SYM I think) to make them overseas... and right before Carter Brothers went belly up.

These latter ones are sketchy at best. Not much known about them.

Kinda looks like a cross between a Turbo Tiger or a Lightning LX...

Thanks for the info. Its definitely not the best craftsmanship I’ve ever seen. The spindles have leading spindle arms pointed inward resulting in completely wrong Ackerman and it barely turns. Also the steering shaft is welded in place so can’t service the bushings etc. The welds and tubing aren’t bad but it doesn’t look like it was welded on a jig. ��

I never found a model sticker but I’ve read it may be under the seat so I will have to check when I replace it.
