Hello, I have been viewing threads and learning from this forum for over a year now and have finally decided it was time to join in and hopefully help contribute to the fun. I have been tinkering with go karts, tractors, and atvs for years now. I enjoy working on and playing with anything mechanical especially if it has wheels. Here are a few of my projects.
The first one is my Carter go kart. It was kind of a basket case when I got it. It had no engine so I installed a 420 predator with a 40 series TC with custom mounting plate.
Second is my home-built buggy. I fabricated and welded up the frame myself. Then I used a 14hp vertical shaft Briggs motor in combination with a 6 speed peerless mst-206 6 speed transaxle out of a riding mower. I have a centripetal clutch over-driving the transaxle to get a top end speed around 25mph.
Next is my home-built fat tire minibike. Again I fabricated the frame out of 1/1 square tube and used a 212cc predator and a knockoff tav2. It has 20 inch atv tires and is excellent offroad and on road alike.
Last is my home-built off-road trike. It also has a 212 with tav2 TC; however, at the time the picture was taken it had a drum clutch. It has 16 inch trail wolf tires and is more modeled off of a Honda ATC three wheeler loosely.
I look forward to seeing other member's projects and helping contribute to the discussions.
