Thats a replacement for Manco part #8008, drive wheel spacer. A handful of people have been looking for those, just search for it. Of course you have to have the Manco aluminum wheels which are getting scarcer by the day. I wish someone would re-pop those or the fancier ones used by Clark….

What’s it made of? The thickness of the original is what most were asking for, to replicate it.

Found it. $24. Doesn’t say what the black part is made of but my gut reaction is plastic.

Manco Sprocket Spacer Assembly

A new sprocket spacer assembly to replace your old broken or missing one. This new assembly uses spacers with a wall 3x as thick made from spun 5052 aluminum not cast like original so it wont crumble apart. These are slightly longer than stock at 1.5" vs 1 3/8" to make room for the beefier wider modern tires with no need to stack washers for clearance. Kit includes spacer assembly and new bolts

Guess the original spacers are 1 3/8” or 1.375? So technically their product is not a 1:1 replacement. I tell ya, at this point in time I would want it in blingy billet aluminum! 🤩✨😄

They can be painted shiny aluminum color, or whatever color customers decide 😁 Would be quite expensive to cast or machine in alloy. We were shooting for a inexpensive way to help folks, while still staying somewhat original in appearance.

As far as dimensions we are only talking one eighth inch difference! We are a small business making accessories right here in America not Chinesium. I really don't think folks will mind.

Eh, if you can make it cheaper out of thick-wall tube steel sections, then do so. If that holder is plastic, then it's 🏳️‍🌈

I'm tasking you with finding out. Better call or email. :sneaky:
Im not sure if the mixture of materials would be considered plastic or not but either way, the stuff can be incredibly strong. You may be underestimating it. 3d printing just plain replaces the use of metals in some cases and usually pretty efficiently.

Naysayers? Where!

I figure the plastic 'web' just locates the six spacers in the right area and right sequence and the real strength is the nuts and bolts securing the sprocket, with the strength needed in the longitudinal direction, not lateral or in terms of shear. The plastic won't tolerate much lateral force. The Bubbas should be reminded not to add anything extra or to put the sprocket on stilts.

Keep seeing people do that on old fun karts. The sprocket lined up fine with the older flathead that was on it, but the new Rotaderp 212cc has some strange geometry with the PTO location and they have to push the sprocket out away from the wheel to meet it. Anyway, I digress.

I did not know that the spacer was your endeavor MPeed or that you were part of it. :cheers2:

It is not fake and gay, I retract my statement. 🤭
