Well I got a really good deal on this go kart (75$), and like I am with cars I own I always join a forum. This kart comes with two engines. The one mounted on the kart is some ancient one while the other is a 5hp briggs from I do belive to be a tiller.

Since drifting trikes are becoming popular and I dont like 3 wheels I want to build a drifting kart. The frame looks to be pretty solid.
First thing I'm going to do is add a live axle and get rid of the one wheel wonder.

Who do alot of you guys recommend for parts? I remember when I bought plans from spiderkarts they gave me a vendor to use but everything was out of stock. So I threw the plans out and waited for the right moment to buy a frame.

Well..you did ok on the motors....but I would look for something a little more complete than that homemade frame....

You'll throw way more money at that thing than it's worth....JMHO....

Welcome to the forum!!!!

You know what, :iagree: completely; by the time you're done, there won't be much of that frame left untouched...

My advice is set it up so you can have some fun for now & save up some dollars for a more suitable frame or materials to build one. Once it's done, some of the parts can be transferred to the new kart...
