new kart-thing idea lol

So my kids were riding bikes today, and they have this funky 3 wheeler. So I decided to slide the seat back and take it for a spin with them. This thing is fun! I'm thinking about making an adult version but laid out just like this. Put an engine up front. Maybe something like 3hp, geared to do maybe 15-20 mph at most. Think this will be fun?

No....close but no cigar....I have seen some "Big Wheel" builds in the past....they were pretty cool....

to me it sounds like you're describing a drift trike you can build them pretty cheap you can even get full rear axle clutch sets for about a hundred twenty to a hundred fifty dollars shipped.

Close, but no cigar x2. What I'm thinking is almost exactly like the pic of my daughters trike. Except with the engine mounted in the front hooked to the front wheel, front wheel drive, and the turning wheels the back hooked to levers like hers. Maybe a 3 or 4" square tube about 1/4" thick for the body. Or if I have any left over from my current build maybe 3 pieces of this 1.5" square 14 gage tube welded side by side for the frame. More sitting almost right on the ground, legs stretched out, almost laying down...of course put a headache bar behind the seat for safety though lol. Hmmmm. Would be interesting to say the least.

I was doing 360s on hers, but the front wheel was basically making a 6" circle. It was fun until I almost flipped, but I blame that on my big but on a little bike lol.

Now that I think about it, if I can make one small enough, and find very small u joints I could mount the engine in back, and run a drive shaft up through the single tube/frame to the front wheel. More complex, but more visability without the engine in the way.

Fine I get it front wheel drive drifter trike, Hmmmm sounds like an interesting idea. That could be a very interesting thing to drive. I wonder how it will drift with front wheel drive. I can imagine 360*s then get back on the gas and pull straight out of it.
You build it then ship it to Ca. and I will test drive it for you. I will only charge you 2x cigars

Not really.....first...you'd have to go to Havana....and it takes a lot of practice and skill to roll one.....WAIT!!!!! Nevermind....I get confused easily.....
