New Idea

Hi all,
I was talking with my Dad and he said that he did not really like the idea of a go-kart. We collaborated for a bit and we came up with an idea. We were thinking of using a MY1020 1000 watt 48 volt motor. We could have two frames, one is an e-bike which he wanted, and the second is a go-kart which I wanted. We could easily switch the electronics between both frames. Could this idea work and where would we put the motor on the e-bike? Thanks from us both.

Swapping the motor, batteries and electronics between two vehicles?
I don't see that happening.
You'd have to readjust the belt all the time, all parts had to be bolted off and on, just for a quick ride; I don't see that happening too often.

get two motors and two sets of electronics, swapping the batteries might be enough of trouble

I think this will be my final idea. A 1000 watt hub motor that I can switch between a bike and a reverse tricycle. I'll just chop off the front fork of an old bike. This seems more realistic than swapping motors.

still you need two full sets of electronic (motor controller, killswitches, throttles etc)
since you still wont rewire that stuff every other day.

and if you spend that amount on the electronics, you can aswell add another hundred for a second motor since that's one of the cheaper parts here

So, yeah.. well I still have my doubts that this is going to be an "interchangeable" part
