Oh My GOD! I was up until 3 am putting all the pieces together making everything fit right and get it all lines up and such. It was so late I didn't want to start it and wake up the roomates......

Sp I went to bed around 3:30......I wake up at six....then I wake my roomates up!

HOLY CRAP!

This thing is a drift monster it is amazing! So much fun, get on the gas and the thing just busts the tires loose!

I am trying to get the videos from the camera to here. Will link to youtube soon and embed them.

There were a few little problems, idle is sometimes too high, its weird, so I can't get off the kart, or it will take off. Chain fell off once, no biggie, I tightened things up, chain is good, though it need a little more clearance in one spot. Belt seems right, CD is 12 5/8 so, it doesn't get better than that!

GOING BACK OUTSIDE!

PS. Today was an absolutely beautiful day for this machine, 60's not a cloud in the sky!

Looking at it is one thing, have you heard it?! It's so good! If the weather is nice tomorrow, I will take more pictures. I have all next week off, thus the kart and I will go adventuring!

Ah! Tyler maybe you can help me then! I can't get them to work as they should on this kart! I don't think thehy are taking in any air anywhere, because braking is consistent, I just can't lock it up, I think I should be able to. I know these wilwood brakes are terrific!

Is there a special way to bleed them, they are very soft. They were once very stiff, but my buddy thought he could get them even stiffer :( Now we can't even get it back to where it was! Any insight?

Youtube is still processing video, should be around soon though!

Help Tyler!

I have done that exact procedure. The disk, has been sprayed with copious amounts of brakleen just in case!

My thoughts are maybe the air that is left in there is having a hard time because the reservoir is slightly below the caliper? Should it matter?

Oh, and, it is the same rotor, on a new hub for 1", the only thing is, there is maybe 3-5% of the pads that aren't touching the rotor? I would think this is still way more than enough surface area to grab the disk, the rotor is straight, aligned well. All is good I believe external to the caliper and reservoir.

Could something be messed up inside? Seems like if the close at all, it should just be air hiding somewhere or something....

The pedal is very soft! Sloppy!

I have the same setup as you I am sure. All the parts came off a sled. I just adapted them to work on the kart. I will try raising the front of the kart tomorrow and see if it make any difference.

So you are saying if there were oil or grease on the rotor the heat just cooks it off?

Thanks so much Tyler!

Working on the brakes now! I need someone to come hold the pedal for me! I can't wait to really push this go kart over break! I hope everything hold up! It's beefy so I really have no worries!
