I should put a third bearing where? I don't want to buy anymore bearings! I am starting to think maybe I should get a bigger clutch for this thing though.

On another note, I might be going to pick up a Yamaha wr450 tonight for pretty cheap. Might ride it as is or might tear out the engine and throw it on a kart. Not replacing my vtwin though, I love the noise of this thing!

Yea, clutchless doesn't make much sense to me. I can see braking being really hard on the engine, making my little honda work to hard!

it wont put stress on anything that dont already have stress on it... u go to slow it stalls and stops.

Yea, think about driving a stick shift. when you let off the gas and go down a hill, whats happening? it puts a little more stress on your tranny, but thats about it (in your case, chain and sprockets).

That all makes sense to me, I double clutch down shift in my car and engine brake. Fun little car to drive. But, I have a power band of 7200rpm. With a little go kart, there is only 1500rpm usable range? So it just seems I am either going, or I am stalled. I'm waiting for my **** clutch!

depending on the ratio, that engine could idle along. It will be no different with a cent clutch, your going to want to keep it pinned all the time basically, so the clutch doesnt slip.

o and about the carb, if you rob one off of a dirt bike you would need one off of a ~310cc
a 300cc would probably work just fine
(remember although its a bigger displacement its only doing about half the rpm)

and if you want a great carb that gets almost perfect air fuel ratios look into a cv(constant velocity) carb. from what i hear they are about the nest best thing from fuel injection.

Hey turtlemann! Thanks for the info, makes sense with the ~300cc dirt bike carb. I am definitely going to look into the constant velocity carb as well!

Parts have arrived! They are on my porch, but I can't get out of work early :censored:

Will be home around 4 this evening to pick up the parts, have to tap the ends of the jack shaft and key a spacer for the clutch because my crankshaft doesn't quite meet the end of the clutch.

I have to buy some lock-tight and some chain. I am not sure what size chain I need. Will 40 chain work on a 40/41 sprocket, does 40/41 mean it's universal with the two, or is it actually a size.

I think something might go wrong with my chains and such this evening, if worse comes to worse, I can just use a 35 for now, I have all that, I just think this engine and TC will shred it apart and put it into the back of my head!

CAN't WAIT! :auto: :D  :cheers2: :wai:
