Hi there, newbie finally plucked up the courage to say hi.

I have been using all of your posts for some time whilst building this for the kids (kind of!!!)

Still some work to do but set myself the challenge of making a mobility scooter something a bit more fun with minimal financial commitment so far has cost £ 45

Excuse the pic & carpet, its running and since increasing the driven gear size is capable of ~15mph. Just brakes to sort out, was going to use a pair of push bike disc brakes, any suggestions for other options?

Also need to finish the seat, seatbelt & floor plate. Will keep you posted on progress.

:welcome2: before I forget,..... NO roll cage, NO seat belt...... It's a rule of thumb for kart safety....
Nice kart! Have you considered making a simple scrub brake set up? My daughters kart runs in excess of 32+ mph and her scrub brake stops the kart quite well..... Just something to think about...... :cheers2:
