Hey whats up everyone. I found this site and its got some sweet stuff. i have a manco gokart with a 6 hp techumsen engine. i just bought a 205cc 8.5 torque briggs and stratton engine from tractor supply and plan on swaping engines painting it a metallic color and adding a battery for electric starter, lights possibly a radio.

Does the engine already have a starter or are you adding one? Are you planning on adding an alternator? if not your battery will go dead pretty quick.

um if it has a starter is has a charging coil on it, basically a small alternator, no need for an alternator

im taking the motor back to tractor supply and im gonna get a motor with electric start so i guess i wont need an alternator. thanks for the info bajagokart i did not know about the charging coil
