Welcome!

I always liked the pre '55 GM's, although I'm a bit partial to Buicks...

Which small town in Texas you from? Buffalo Gap (my location) is just south of Abilene.

Welcome to the forum.

As the HF Predator engines are based on the Honda GX series, just about any performance part for the Honda will work on the predator & there's an abundance of them.

We'll help wherever we can

What is your intended use for the engine?

How about a more direct question... Are you planning on building a kart? Buying a used chassis? Minibike, maybe? 'cuz... we ALL use 'em for "recreational purposes"! LOL

Welcome to the forum!

Oh sorry its already on a 2 seater thunder cart ive had it about a year then sat up while life got in the way and I had to clean the carb and now only runs on half chock anyone have a clue ive searched but no luck im looking at doing everything to the motor shy of cam, rockers, valves and push rods does that sound reasonable?

I've got a stretched, live-axled ThunderKart 2-seater with a Briggs 8hp flatty, runs like a scalded dog. Check out the "Texas Terror" build thread in my sig.

I'll bet that all it needs is a good carburetor soak in some hot lemon juice. Old dead gasoline causes 99% of the problems.

I'm on my phone and can't search easily, but look in the sticky thread about helpful threads, there's a write up on lemon juice.
