You might have enough room to instal one of the 13 or 16hp Honda or clone engines, but they need a larger bolt-pattern motormount. (they bolt down in the same larger pattern as the outer/unused motormount bolt holes drilled into your Mitsubishi) So you'd have to mod yours or instal a larger motormount.

It looks like you have a torque converter now instead of a centrifugal clutch. That's good for off road but yours is made for 6 and 6.5hp engines with 3/4" output shafts. The output shafts on 13/16hp engines are 1", so you'd need a larger 40-series torque converter.

On the other hand, your engine looks pretty new. I did some research and found quite a few people that really like your 6hp Mitsubishi GT600 engine. I learned Mitsubishi manufactures this same engine for Briggs & Stratton for their 6hp Intec series. You could remove the governor to get more speed. You could also instal a Briggs Animal racing cam/intake/carb/header to get even more rpm and power.

But if you want to buy a really good engine with lots of power that bolts right on,
I'd recommend one of these:--> http://www.nr-racing.com/gx200motors.htm

Then If your torque converter couldn't handle the additional power, you could upgrade to
a 3/4" bore, 40-series: http://www.google.com/search?source....,cf.osb&fp=bf7f1bdecae0b4d4&biw=1024&bih=556

No the Duromax 13/16hp wont fit your motormount.

Any of these Honda GX200 engines will bolt right on your kart: http://www.nr-racing.com/gx200motors.htm
Depending on what model and options you choose, they can be ordered to have anywhere between 9 and 18hp.
You'd need to click the option box for them to instal a fuel tank.

You have a torque converter now that will bolt right on a Honda GX200 engine. Is your torque converter still working?

Do you understand the advantages of using a torque converter instead of a centrifugal clutch on a heavy off-road kart like yours?

Do you want to buy a different torque converter or a centrifugal clutch?

To give you good advice, we also need to know:
How tall your back tires are?
How many teeth do each of your chain sprockets have?
And you'll also need to accurately measure and post the distance between the tips of the teeth on your axle sprocket so we know what pitch chain your kart has.

That's probably normal, if its still working you might as well keep using it for now.

___________

does the converter replaces the clucth

Yes, the driver portion that's bolted to your engine is a clutch, It also serves as 1/2 of your variable speed transmision.

___________

also my rear tires are 18x9.50-8 front tires are 19x7.00-8 also the small gear is 8t and the large one is 70t where the chain goes i will post pics of the measure and distance

OK, this is good info if you ever want to replace your torque converter system

____________

also i might remove the governor for now there should be a diffrence right

Yes, this will increase your top speed.

____________

also a er ter will 6.5 honda clone fits also right

Yes

_____________

and do you know what better air filter will fit i know i need a adapter which one and what filter

adaptor: http://www.bmikarts.com/item/Air-Filter-adapter-for-Tecumseh--Briggs-OHV-Engine-300201-1111

It'll work with any filter that has a 2-7/16" Inlet Hole: http://www.bmikarts.com/shop/?shop=1&cat=165

_____________

and where do i get a pipe or somewthing better than the stock can

I'm pretty sure any of these headers made for the Briggs Animal engine will fit. But you could measure the bolt pattern and port-size, and then call/email them asking to make sure http://www.out2win.com/catalog/exhaust_ohv.html

_____________

also what belt do i buy incase this one rips

This link takes you to a shop that claims to stock parts for your kart: http://www.alpha-sports.com/alphasports_parts.htm?gclid=CPzA_KyIgK8CFVO9tgodOSQd4w Click on the Firefox 620 SAMSCLUB (yellow) link first. Then the CLUTCH ASEMLY link to find your belt.
