Hi my name is Brandon I'm 30 from Michigan been lurking for a while come here alot it seems like through Google searches for my current project. A little background about me I am a fabricator/welder/pipefitter by profession been doing it professionally for about 12 years now. A few months back I decided to start building a kart for my 7 year old son. Long story short it's now more for me then him. started out building it for a 9hp honda gx motor but as the project progressed it turned into an old arctic cat 440 off of an 87 el tigre. So once I mounted the motor I didn't have enough room for the passenger seat I ended up cutting it in half and adding 12" in length and a bunch of support as the kart is now over 8ft in length. (Kind of thinking it might not be classified as a go kart any more) I've attached some images of the progress just looking for a little insight as this is the first kart I have built.
