If your on a budget check out some swap meets or yard sales.I just got back from a swap meet today with 2 complete sand rail fiberglass seats and a Grant steering wheel for $20.Just check around anywhere you see used stuff for sale you never know what you might find for cheap.

I assume you want full suspension since you want to jump it.I would go with a swingarm rear end and a single A-arm setup for the front for simplicity and strength as well as being the cheapest suspension I can think of.

Here's a single A-arm design.

Here's a basic swingarm rear end.

I don't have as much experience as most of the other guys on this site,I'm sure they can help you more than I can.

I'm 17 and in in the same situation as you.The last two pics are of the buggy i'm building.Gonna use a dirt bike engine as well.In the pics that's about what a $100 will get you.

that first pic is one of theo's karts i believe.

if your gonna jump your kart, you probably want quite a bit of travel in your suspension, full roll cage (must have seat belt if you have a cage) and you probably want a light but strong frame.
and if you want it to be "dirt munching" your gone want some BIG tyres (ATV tyres are pretty good).
