Hi everyone! I have been watching this site for a while now and I thought now that I am getting into a project I would register and start asking questions. I am restoring a Bird Baja for my nephews and I am trying to decide if I should try to save the front wheels or replace them. I bought this kart about two years ago and I am just now getting serious about rebuilding it. The boys are getting older and I want them to enjoy it before they outgrow it. I am rebuilding the original engine and would like to keep it as original as it was. If any of you have a decent set of front spoked wheels I would be interested. Mine are really rusty and I am afraid to trust them.

Someone cut the frame in half and put shocks not he back but I got another frame so I can put it back together correctly.

Got the frame painted. The bearings will be here on Wednesday and then I can start putting her back together.

Great!! Start up a thread in the Photo log and build section. Nobody reads the Introduce section much besides to say hi to people
