Hello, I'm from Carroll county Ohio, I've been machinists 30 years, Bass fishing is my best hobby, but fixing a vintage cart for my grandsons is gonna be awesome. I would love to know what make it is, if anyone could help.

many iterations throughout the years. If you look directly under the steering wheel on the floor pan, there would be a sticker there with the serial number.

I had one similiar to that, and it kind of spiraled into something crazy. It now has a highly modified gx390 on it pushing upwards of 6500 rpm. goes too fast.

That is kinda cool...

Looks like it had the Tec as an upgrade to the old briggs that looks like it was its original motor, with a belt drive clutch...if it were me I'd look into spacing out the motor evenly, so moving the sprocket over to center the motor.... And of course while your at it get a rotaderp 212 on there instead of that darn Tekashema....

Rotoderp is Predator spelled backwards. Predator 212cc is the go to quick and cheap engine to put on karts. You can find it on sale usually for $100 at Harbor Freight. It will bolt right onto your existing engine mounting plate.

Not sure what he meant about the Tecumseh, I don't see one. What shape is the Briggs you have on there in?

The pulley alongside the sprocket is an interesting thing. Obviously not meant to drive the axle... Possibly driving something off the axle?

looks like a Manco American Express, but kind of odd seeing the engine plate off to one side instead of centered.
maybe a Sears Orange Krate?

4.10/3.50-5 rear tires 4.10/3.50-4 front tires?
Do the rear wheels require a hub or are the rear wheels keyed and directly on the axle?
Do the front wheels require a hub or do they have bearings In the wheels?
Mine came with no wheels so i am trying to figure out how is was setup before diving into restoring it.

Is there an advantage of centering the Briggs? I'm planning on re welding the mounting plate in center and getting rid of the pulley, if there's any advice from u good fellow's, it's appreciated. Thank u for helping out the Carroll county red neck

Weight distribution.
Put the sprocket over by the band brake. This way the engine is more centered.

I see several carts with engines on the side. I'm moving this one to center. Is there an advantage to the handling of the cart
