Was actually looking at 3 cylinder car engines. And the 22 hp v twin predator.
Big block? I didn't know they existed for carts..?
Im actually looking a some used 3 cylinders from geo Metro.
250 off the shelf at the local junk yard.
Cheap engine should provide plenty of power and locally replaceable.
You need a big block!
Geo Metro!!!!
I booked a full size car at a rental place.
When I showed up, all they had was a metro.
I had about 700 pounds of tools and gear to travel about 3 or 400 miles with.
Saddest thing you ever saw going down the road.
I MIGHT be able to beat that! I made all my kitchen cabinet doors..laminate covered particle board, and loaded them in my truck. I drove 3 hrs. East to Tyler , Texas, to get those doors bored for hinges and buy same.
Also, we had a credit card, so we loaded up on stuff to remodel our house. We walked out, and I thought: ****et!!
If it doesn't rain hard, we might be OK.
We hit the end of the parking lot, and the deluge began. It continued the whole trip. Not only that, my pickup was so overloaded, that the front wheels barely touched the ground.
If driving a 1970 Chebbie pick-em up with barely any steering or brakes doesn't make your cajones suck up, you don't have any.
Soooo... Finally, I white knuckle my way to Dallas. ( I think I'm home free...)
I see cars on the side of the road going the wrong way.... OMG!!!! ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME? I got a vehicle barely safe at ANY speed...NOW I HAVE TO DRIVE ON ICE?
Then, after I negotiated that, I had to unload that SOB in sub- freezing temps.
Oh well, my life has been a cakewalk.
BTW: Just to make clear: even though my house was small, I had all the doors,,closet shelving, baseboard and trim on that one load. Basically, everything wood INSIDE a house , in the back of my truck, ( and the rack above...) OH YEAH, I had another 5 or 600+ lbs up there.. ( I'm not kidding,.the front wheels actually were lifting off the ground.)
Mobile home kit?
