sorry for the short intro...Kansas City, Mo. been a lurker for awhile and finally decided to join. I am a jack of all trades, currently working as a design drafter using autocad and solidworks. I have purchased some go-kart body molds from my employer and decided if there would be enough interest in fabbing up some of these bodies.

Yes,
You have peaked my interest. We need dimensions and what not. Shipping will suck, so I'd be driving to get mine..... How much are they going for? :kewlsmiley:

the 32 roadster has a lil trunk that opens so you can hide the motor. I have no clue as to what they are selling for. the roadster has about 30 lb of material. the nascar style has less and would probably be cheaper. give me some thoughts on pricing, if enough interest I could possibly help with shipping to ease the cost.

Seriously- They way to approach it is to figure out your costs and time to produce the bodies. Then figure out packing costs and insured shipping rates. Then search for similar bodies and try to get an idea of what they are going for and availability vs.demand.

If you have some ready for sale try to sell them locally as that will be the most profitable- or list as pick up only. If it's worth x amount of money boxed and shipped, then you should be able to get very nearly the same amount picked up.

As far as what their worth- it's what you can sell them for. You could blindly advertise them high and work down- but that never works well- because someone may be interested at the price you offer, but then see the price drop and become suspicious. Conversly- starting too low hurts not only your bottom line but your reputation as well and some may see your move to the correct pricing as overinflated.

So- sorry to say the monkey is on your back. Demand is sure to be there- but at what price???

:iagree:
On a side note, I think this is a bigger body than we are used to seeing. I'm thinking 2 adults my size-ish ( 6' 170-200lbs) can fit in this thing. :smiley_omg:. Now this is just a guess, because he put forth no info, but look in the pics again. In the back ground you see a mini car frame bent up like the original (kinda) to this body. It appears to follow the same body lines too. Nice heavy duty frame. That could be for the building of the body's but has me wondering if these are closer to 1/3 scale or bigger?......:popcorn::cheers2:
