Hi all! I'm a new guy from Virginia and just got my first gokart. Nothin beats a free toy with an engine
I got it running but the belt managed to shred down to nothing within two days on driving up and down the street. Anybody know why that would happen?? Any help is great, thanks!

we are gonna need some more info. BUT sounds like the TC may not be lined up correctly.

The belt was appearently never changed, so could it have just been a crappy belt? I don't know if they just kind of disappear like that from being old though. The TC looks like it works right. When idling it stays where it is, but when you hit the gas you it squeezes the belt. I'm ordering a new belt tomorrow morning since it needs to be replaced anyways

i would replace it and report back what happens... it could have been just an old crappy belt.

Make sure you get the correct belt. You cannot just get any old belt. Your gearing may be too steep as well. What is your tooth counts on all Sprockets.

How do i find the right belt? And I'll check when i get back home

Just counted. The big gear is 60 tooth and the small one is 10, is that okay?

The correct belt is 203591 or Q43203W. Search on eBay with either part number and you can get one for bout $23 shipped.

That ratio shoudnt be tearing up your belts
