A BIG ONE!

There's been a few builds using sports bike engines & a small racing kart frames, none what I'd call sucessful, there's simply too much power for the frame to handle, it's like putting a Bugatti Veyron engine in a Ford Fiesta...

To be sucessful, you need a larger, stronger buggy type kart...

That's what I'm planning to do i don't trust the racing frames with that much power and such little protection if something goes wrong

Good to hear

Unfortunately, finding something suitable that won't break the bank may also prove difficult; how's your fabrication skills?

Oh & filling out your profile with your location will make it a bit easier for us to guide you to something suitable, prices vary depending on location...

on road or off road? this will also determine bracing on frame, engine and suspension. you will also need a pretty strong axle. I am assuming its around 100hp being a 600cc.

I have a kz750 engine that I'm currently building a mini Indy car with. I'm using 1 1/4 .120 DOM tubing. It's gonna be scca and drag race legal.

It will be rolling with engine in place next week so stay tuned. Getting ready to start a build thread as I'm too anxious to wait til the contest starts this year !

On road go google ............. A mod scca car ........... That's what mine is based off of on chassis design. My chassis guy actually said my tubing is overkill but better to be safe than sorry later on down the road upside down somewhere ! I'm also using go kart spindles and a 1" solid rear axle. I'm making it with out suspension. As I want it literally to be a overgrown shifter kart but safer !
