Hello I'm John and I have a problem, I like to build things.
I recently acquired a tomberlin crossfire150 roller no seats and no running engine.
So I purchased a predator 6.5hp 212cc engine that I plan on mounting to the rear swing arm to get it going
Also have a set of corbuea racing seats and crow racing harnesses that I am going to install.

I have questions on the engine but I will move that over to the appropriate board.

:welcome2: John!
What part of town do you live on? I'm over here by Mo City..... Pearland area.....
I got a kart JUST like you described. Crossfire with no engine or seats. I put a 200cc Honda engine from a Honda ATC. Then I put it in my storage for another day.....:lolgoku:

Not a chance in H#¿¥..... That engine isn't gonna cut it unless you have a drive ratio around 12:1 or even 14:1 . and you would need a torque converter too. Your BEST bet is to buy a dirt bike or ATV engine and make a mount for it. Gears are better than a tc , on a big kart like that. It will be more fun as well.... :lolgoku:
That kart had a 150cc engine ,but its bigger than the 212cc engine you just bought. Its not the same type of engine nor does it run in the same rpm range. Its apples and oranges.....
I'd hit up Land's cycles (lambs cycles?) Over off I10 just past beltway 8 headed to channel view. They have tons of old ATV and dirt bike engines. Go wild! Get something in the 200-300cc range. You'll have more fun than you'd imagine.....

Well it's already shipped so if it comes down to it I have a quad frame that I can stuff the 212 into and trade that for a dirt bike

That's mine.....
See if you can get your hands on a used big block from the tool rental side. WAIT! WHAT!?? Already shipped? Your ORDERED a 212cc? :smiley_omg: You can go buy one today for a $100 out the door. Im probably going to go pick up one or 2 today ,myself.
If you can get a 13-18 HP side shaft engine from work ,and buy a 40 series tc (or better) , you could use that on the kart.
To use the 212 on the ATV frame, you will still need a 30 series tc......
