Hey guys im new here my names Mike and I live in Highwood IL but im currently in Vincennes IN for school. My friend and I were working on his go kart his dad got for him but he doesnt really know anything about engines and stuff so he GAVE it to me! Anywho its a birel chassis with a briggs fun power engine.. Im looking to get maybe a 12 or more hp engine or a snowmobile engine, this one has a real bad vacuum leak and I want something with more power. It also needs a hub, tires, brake assembly, and sprocket. Im not really sure with what I need so if someone can help out that'd be great!
Thanks for looking!

Actually It doesnt need a hub I forgot.. That axel has no keyways in it but the one that does have keyways doesnt fit those hubs. So I was going to use that one, is there anyway to attach a disc and sproket with out keyways?

Hey, cool kart there s10kid...

A complete new 1-1/4" axle setup would be stronger, but if you want to save some money we can probably locate whatever parts you need to get ya going here, but we'll need more detailed info to help you out.

That axel has no keyways in it but the one that does have keyways doesnt fit those hubs.

Why aren't your hubs fitting your axle that has a keyway?
Is this key'd axle a 1" diameter, and your hubs made for the larger 1-1/4" axle size, or is there some other issue?

Do you already have a sprocket and rotor with hubs? If so what size axle are they made to fit?

I also do not have a sprocket but i have a rotor with a hub. I also need a caliper non hydrolic just a cheap manual one.

thats a NICE cart and worth fixing it right,
if cost is an issue..

buy a snowmobile brake setup off ebay. 30-40 bux rotor hub caliper and mastercylinder fits 1" axle
buy new axle with threaded ends so you can use the hubs you want and your done..

then you will have a GOOD SAFE NICE setup

Yea cost is somewhat of an issue im trying to finish my s10 but I have some extra money for the kart. Does it matter what snowmobile it comes from or are they all the same? I also need a sprocket. Thanks for all the help so far guys I really appreciate it!

Alright ive been looking around and all i need is the master cylender because i have a rotor. I need help with the axel though. The hubs I have fit this one, it is threaded and has a step at the end of the threads which holds the wheels I guess, so if I can find the samething that would be great. Im just not sure what I need

I have a couple other questions too if you dont mind. Is the stge 1 blue clone from nr-racing a good engine Im really considering getting it. Would it be fast? Also would this sprocket and hub work?

Wow thats good to hear man, Im in grayslake all the time for carshows and friends and stuff, I was going to ask some people where to ride up by us. Is there any trucks or anything? I also found out that my kart is a 72 birel targa if that helps anyone with helping me getting this thing running.
