New guy from WA Granddaddy build

I'm 33 and live in Graham, WA. Just started building the Granddaddy from Spidercarts. This will be my first go kart/buggy even though I've wanted one since I was a kid! Anyway here are a couple pics of my progress so far.

Don't be intimidated so far there are 2 or three guys also building their first Kart.

Thanks for the welcome. I'd love to enter the build off I'm just not sure I'll be able to afford all the parts I'm gonna need and have it together by October. So far all I've really got is the steel, a few brackets and bearings for the axle. Later this week though I should be receiving the front spindles and hubs. So that's exciting.

I'm thinking about a 10hp engine that the plans call for but I do have a 27hp Kohler sitting in the shop without a home yet. That might be a little much though and cost more in the long run to make it work. I wouldn't even know where to begin when it comes to a transmission for that thing.

Anyway, I know this is for introductions so I'll be starting a build thread in the proper location.

For me .I sell the parts for motorcycle and atv but I can not have one, It is ridiculous.
Maybe in future I will build a go kart for my 12 yo son as a gift, but in China it is not easy. Instead of it we usually buy a electrical bike or just a bike to the children.
