New guy from Seattle

Hello everyone.

I am new to the forum (first post a few days ago) and new to go karts. I am some building skills - wood, mechanical, electronics, etc - but no metal working skills. Hope to change that in the new few months as I am always looking for new things to learn. And a new project is my way of learning. Now, it's time to build an electric kart for my 8 year old daughter to drive around the yard.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on my initial post. I am sure there will be lots more as I get started on my build in the next few weeks.

Metal working skills are very handy to have, especially welding...

In my experience, the difference between wood & metal is metal is much more flexible but, wood is easier to work with... obviously, both conditions depend on the material being used...
