traded a friend for a homemade go kart needs some work could use advice glad i found this place can't wait to make this kart better already got a new steering wheel and the air filter was done on it and the oil was needing a change when i got it plan to add a roll cage finish modifying the motor with the rest of the performance parts change the rod based system to brake/throttle line and switch band brakes to a manual disk brakes does 33mph with me on it glad to be on board.

yeah thanks lol im probaly going to end up putting a battery in the box for an electric start shes pretty cold blooded my first kart and so excited to own one thans for the welcome man.

What about a new seat??? Do you fall of it if you go around corners? Maybe a seat belt would be handy :lolgoku:. The front end looks really light. Is the engine in front, on top, or behind the back axle.

Oh yeah forgot about that. But kinda like a bucket seat. Or get a roll cage and a seat belt.
yup was thinking seat belt first then my girlfriends brother said i wouldnt want to be straped to it if it flipped roll cage first then seat and 5 point harness and i slow down before i turn been just going up and down the road with it will take a pic of how its setup tomorrow.

What he's asking is where is the engine in relation to the axle...

The position of the engine can drastically change the handling/steering of the kart; if the engine is behind the axle, the steering will be lighter than if the engine is in front of the axle...

From what I can see in your pic, the engine shaft is almost directly above the axle, meaning, the majority of the engine weight is behind the axle, making the front end lighter...
