howdy..

I'm Larry and I'm from New Hampshire. Stumbled upon this site while doing a google search for some info on my vintage kart.It's been in the family for about 25 years and now it's mine possibly for good.

Here's a pic, I've never seen another one like this..

Nice kart but I'm guessing you don't know what it is?

And you can't have it forever--you should have children to hand it down to.

You're right about not owning it forever, I have a 6 yr old that loves anything that goes fast.

And yes, no idea what brand it is.I don't remember seeing any stamping or serial number or anything in all the times we used it. I'm picking it up tomorrow from my parents house and hopefully I can wipe the dust off it and find a name or something.

Got it home tonight. Here's a couple more pics. The Steering wheel says "Century Speed Kart Mark I"

Well those photos tell it all, especially the steering wheel. Nice family kart indeed.
I really like the frame style--nice lines..

Engine looks like a standard Briggs flathead...and that's basically a Raptor throttle linkage (and carb). How do you start it?

That is a rare vintage kart. I hate to run people off.
but check out the Vintage Kart Forum.
That thing may be worth big Money. Not that you would sell it, but keeping it factory and period correct may be the way to go.

Hellion, you're correct. It's a Briggs 5hp but here's the kicker, it's had some work done and my Dad told me the guy we bought it from put a 3hp flywheel on it.

It's a pull start, the cord used to be mounted on the engine, but we took it off after the cord got twisted up once years ago.
