Dan from Morgan Hill Ca.
I'm retired and have time to build a kart for my grand kids. Always wanted to build one and now with the help of this forum I will. Bought a wig welder and have been practicing . I will post photos when I start the build and I'm sure ask a lot of questions.
Thanks
Dano

So, you're a wig maker then... :lolgoku:

Welcome to the forum Dano, tell us about your plans for a kart...

Don't worry, I'm sure there's no question we can't answer &, remember, there are no stupid questions...
Welcome to DIYGK Dano! Fabroman is only partially correct in his last statement. The ONLY stupid questions are the ones un-asked. Don't be afraid to ask what may seem silly or stupid. We all get brain f@rts sometimes and over look something obvious. We are all here to help, get ideas for our own builds, and build world wide friendships with like minded kart enthusiasts.
O yeah, you know, if you have more than 2 grandkids you're gonna be building more than one kart...... lol..... "thats how they get ya"..... lol

Wow thanks for the warm welcome guys.
So here is what I'm going to start on first.
A Radio Flyer Wagon Kart. I made a Radio Flyer wagon last year. Put bigger tires on it and raised the wagon to make the clearance work. I use a lot. Take it to the free concert in the park (the cooler and two chairs fit perfect). I'm in a small band and use it to carry equipment ex.. I was surprised how much I use the thing.
Now I want to build a wagon kart just for fun. It will help me learn how to (wig)weld and after seeing some on this forum I'm excited.

No photos yet but I bought 20' of one inch box steel Saturday. Will be out of town this week. Hope to get started next week.
