Hey guys and gals, I joined up a few weeks ago after buying a Baja Blaster 65 from a guy at work.
We bought it for our 6y/o son who's a little on the small side, so I had to do a little modification to the kart for him to be able to drive it.
Needless to say he was happy as a clam to be behind the wheel of "his" kart after about a month of mostly riding shotgun.
I decided to run the short guy pedals off the originals so they could be easily removed for the times I get to drive. I plan to put hairpins in to secure the clevis pins in the linkages, that way I can pull 4 hairpins, remove the linkage, fold the shorty pedals forward out of the way and a full size person can once again pilot the kart.
My 1/4" all thread is flexing somewhat so I plan to find some 1/4" id tubing or pipe to slide over it.
Edit:
I also still have my kart from when I was a kid that I plan to get back into running order this winter. I'll get some pics of it up soon. I guess it'll need new pedals since I robbed them for my guys short man setup
