New guy, building karts for grandkids

Hi, I'm Bernie. I have 4 grandkids and had rebuilt a Yamaha minibike for them. The oldest ones have outgrown it so I started looking for a kart. In the process, I found some pics of a Rupp A-bone kart from 1962. It's a beautiful thing. Building one is is my eventual goal. Meanwhile, searching for karts for sale, I found a deal for 5 karts for 4 hundred bucks and I bought them. None are functional, there are a few good tires, four motors (3 Briggs, one Tecumseh). None running. I hope I can get some functional and keep a couple for the kids. This will be my winter project. Anyway, I will be around looking and probably will have questions.

Hi Bernie, I'm new here too. I'm building karts and mini-bikes for future grandkids. Don't have any grandkids yet. Wish I did! :) Gordy
