New GoKart

Hi All,

Just scored this go-kart that I'm going to get running for my kids.

Motor runs fine, I'm told I just need a chain and clucth. It came with some seats but I've got to get those installed.

So priority #1 is getting those ordered so we can get this on the road.

I'm not sure who makes this but it would also be nice to get a roll cage added. It clearly is setup for one as there are the 4 posts.

I've never done go karts but am very mechanically inclined, and can work my way around a small engine. It's got a Tecumseh on there.

Before I head to amazon to make my purchase, what do I need to know aside from shaft size for my clutch and chain?

Just need to figure out what pitch the chain is, whether it's 35 or 41/420. Your clutch sprocket and chain will need to match the axle sprocket.

Ok, will the axle sprocket be stamped, or do I count teeth?

Thanks so i did some googling and measuring looks like my sprocket is a #40.

I've ordered a chain and clutch this evening.
