New Go-ped

Got it for $30 at garage sale not-running just needed a new sparkplug and fresh gas!

It's pretty slow, hard to start, and the air filter is taped on!

Ok, so first, where can I get a new filter, either stock or HP? Is a little tune-up in order? What can I use to clean out the motor and carb?

Hoping to fix it up and sell it for a pretty good profit.

your looking to replace the filter sponge, or do you need the cover for it too?

if the size sponge you need isnt too large, try cutting up a sponge for a Briggs engine. you can get them at just about any home improvement place.

if you want to use something to hold the sponge in the plastic case there, try expanded metal, or a screen. then solder/braze it on a wire coat-hanger frame, and snap it in place.


SpyGuy made an air filter assembly out of an Altoids mint tin, you might try that.

I got a new air filter of Davesmotors.com and replace the fuel lines and cleaned it up a bit. I don't know whether to keep it or not. It's great fun but I look like a retard riding it lol.

HOLY **** i take that back, i just checked goped website and one like yours new is supposed to be 500-700 bucks! what a ****in rippoff, i could buy a nice sled or build a nice go kart for that...

Yea, when I looked for this style go ped on CL I had the exact same reaction. Things are going for $300 used. I'm hoping to get $100 for mine.

Id keep it those things are so much fun. I have an electric one with a seat and ride it around the neighborhood. I dont think people look dumb at all riding those although i do feel dumb sometimes when im riding around in my pjs lol
