New go kart engine

I have a 6 hp Tecumseh engine on a Murray frame. I also have a couple mowers with Briggs engines laying around and a water pump with a 400cc 11 hp Briggs engine on it. My question is would it be worth it to take the time to swap the mowers over? They are more hp than the water pump.

usually mowers engines are not horizontal engine so idk about that but i whoud see about that water pump engine if it runs at all and see what kind of shaft thats on it whether or not if its a tapered shaft or straight shaft. whats wrong with the Tecumseh engine?
