New go kart build project

Hi all. Been reading this site a couple of weeks now gathering information and ideas to start a build of a go kart/ buggy.
So far we have bent up a couple of bite of tube to make a simple kart design, made the front spindles, SaaS steering wheel custom boss to fit, Honda gx270 9hp elec start motor.
Next step has been finding wheels, we wanted some fat wheels on it as it won't have suspension, looked around and couldnt really find anything cheap but stumbled across a ride on mower on eBay a old AMF 8 36 mower very old and worn out was told doesn't run anymore because starter is buggered so gonna see if I can fix that and prob sell the motor off to give more funds to buy anything we need, most likely will be belt drive for now as we found an old clutch that we fitted a pulley to. Don't think I can get any pics up yet cos I'm on my I phone posting this will try to get on pc at some stage to put pics up of what we have done,

ok so im trying to put some pictures up pretty much its the basic frame shape with our stolen office chair we took from a meeting room, steering wheel with the plastic /poly stuff boss to suit our steering shaft, the lawn mower wheel donor and the steering king pin/knuckle without stubs welded on yet.

took front and back wheel off tonight and found front wheels are just bronze bushes, thinking about getting some bearings same od as wheel id and make axle to suit id of bearings, rear wheel is maybe 3/4 keyed shaft at best. is this strong enough or should i put the mower back up on ebay and try to get a bit more than what i payed to buy something else?
