Hello and Good Morning everyone. I am from Langton Ontario Canada. We just recently bought our sons ( 11 and 8) a Kandi 150 cc kart. They love it but we have been battling broken mounts since day 1 so they are pretty bummed out. We're new to the kart world and I hope by joining this forum to meet some awesome new people and gain a wealth of knowledge from experienced karters.

If you don't have access to a welder take it to a local welding shop and have them remake better mounts. Should only cost you 20 bucks or so. Nice to see the ladies on the sight so much better then listening to those stuffy Texans :roflol:

Welcome to DIYGK from another fellow Ontarian. Too bad you're not a little further east, I could take a peek at it for you. I guess we'll have to do this remotely. Can you provide a couple pics of the problematic area?

So after some online research and exploring the buggy clutch we found that the variable rollers were not seated properly and probably haven't been since the belt was replaced. Some of them were shattered and others worn flat on one side. Soooo now to find someone close to home that can get us some 14 gram variable rollers. I'm sure this is why it slams so hard. And then to make our own mounts.... Phew that was easy...... Lmao

Welcome to the forum!! It looks like you have figured the potential problem out.

I am not too sure where you can purchase the parts in Canada, but maybe you can get from some of the American online stores and postage might not be too bad. Some of the Canadians might know of a better place for you to buy
