So I picked up this go kart for pretty much free and now planning on putting a GsxR 600 motor in it. Never done anything like this before. Is there somewhere I can look to see on how to do this?

Let me give you the short answer......I wouldn't.

It's a homemade kart...and there's no way we can tell where the weak points may be....It looks pretty solid and well bit from what little we can see, but being as we can't see, and you don't have the experience to know, just stick a Predator on it for now, spend the energy and money refurbishing the running gear...and hope it holds up....

That's a pretty old Tecumseh, and, looks like the kart's been around awhile, too....

Hello from Richmond Virginia, and exactly what poboy said u don't know the weakness of that frame, if you want to upgrade your motor try a predator 212 or 420 or a snowmobile engine or something

Yea it's pretty old everything is homemade. The welds look pretty solid. Currently stripping it down to metal. Trying to get all the rust off. Actually got the motor started this morning. Three some gas in it and played with the carb and adjusted the idle screw. Throttle cable snapped where can I find cables locally. Maybe a bike shop? I'll take some better pics when the weather clears up.

Welcome

I have built several monster karts in my day and I can tell you that I would not use that frame for that at all. If you really want to build one, try to find a racing kart chassis that you can mod to fit the motor.
