Hello all.. Great website here.. I put this kart together for my son a few years ago. We added the cage, a new engine , and a few other odds and ends... he ran it for a summer but it has sat since. we pulled it out last Saturday, cleaned the carb, and let him run it around on the driveway..

Well he has grown to probly double in size from age 6 to 10. It look like we need to stretch his cart a bit and maybe add a live axle...

This is him from a few years ago..

We know :D

Welcome to the forum, please enjoy your stay

They have a bad habit of doing that huh...

It look like we need to stretch his cart a bit and maybe add a live axle...

My advice: Save yourself some time, energy & brainstrain, sell that one & buy a bigger live axle kart; believe me, it'll be less aggrevation in the long run...

Well I was thinking the same.. I have a step son that fits this one well.. So i'll leave it intact..
I have another matching frame that ill use to build a second cart.. Or i'll sell of what I have for a two seat-live axle kart...

:welcome2: Nice looking kart you got there. You did a good job on the cage. Your son is looking like he is ready for more power/kart....:lolgoku: mine gets that same look..... "I want more " as he slides my kart around.....
If you plan on stretching a kart frame, let us know BEFORE hand so we make sure you do it right. We know not your skills, I just don't wanna see anyone get hurt cause of bad fab/idea....

I would probably see if you could get a larger rolling chassis on Craigslist or something and keep this one as it is, Sometimes lengthening karts causes all sorts of other problems like steering etc

Thanks. I added the cage mainly as a guard in case he ran into things, machinery, vehicles, tree branches.. I highly doubt he could roll it..

No worries on bad fab here..
