Just joined up so I figured I would say HI! Im from just outside of the Philly area, hopefully there are other members from the area.

I also recently picked up this Motovox for a steal at $20. It needs a new chain the one on it is stretched, forks were bent but I bent them back & reinforced them, it has a rip in the seat, possibly needs new bearings in the front wheel (gonna try greasing them & see if that helps), needed a new brake lever & brake pads and of course the motor is total junk. But for $20, I'll take it all day long.

I'm going to put the Predator 212cc in it & did some reading on the swap, my question is can i just drop in the new motor & go, or do I have to do any mods to the motor. I know I have to do something to the air filter box to make it fit & relocate the rear fender, but beyond that is there anything that I HAVE to do to get it to work? Thanks in advance!

Oh, Jim isn't gonna like that, he's been searching for a cheap minibike for ages but, all the cheap ones tend to be up north... :lolgoku:

Welcome

I would suggest the motor adapter plate. I got mine at OMB warehouse. Hotrod minibikes sell those too.

I just used the adapter plate and it very beneficial even at $40

So you did the 212cc engine swap on the Motovox? I've read that 2 of the bolt holes line up on the 212cc engine & 2 you have to drill the frame to get it to bolt up. Does the CC on the stock engine fit the Predator 212cc? I would like to have everything I need to do the swap when I do it, instead of thinking I have everything I need to do it & then having to wait on parts.
