Hi guys .
Stumbled across this forum and am happy to share advice and get some new ideas for builds.
Based in Australia and have two buggies I built for my wife and I.
Look forward to speaking with everyone.

Cool looking buggies; tell us about them...

Where do you drive those in Brisbane? I'm in Warwick & am lucky to be surrounded by 5 acres (for now)...

Hi OzFab , Hi bob58o, .
I have a mate in the Redlands area with a small farm and we take them there. I've just got home from a drive there now. I replaced the acetal bushes in the rear swingarm with some brass items machined up at work. Couple of grease points and it works a treat.

The buggies are built by myself to plans I bought from The Edge Products in WA. I've modified the design a little and they go very well.

The Sidewinder has a Honda NX 650 cc motor installed in her and it hauls.
The Trax 2 has a Honda copy 16 hp motor with 30 series torq a verter installed.
I built a trailer also . It carries the winder and the Trax fits in the back of the ute.
The wife drives the Trax and loves it. She's never driven anything like it before and is building confidence.

Had a bit of a moment this arv in the Sidewinder. Iwas doing about 80 km/h and hit the grass sideways and went a good 30 metres sliding on the grass. Held onto her though and was all good. I attach action cams for YT vids and I'm sure we caught that moment.

Hopefully over Christmas we're heading up towards Warwick to go to Glendon . It's an adventure type park up there and our buggies are welcome.
It's a bit closer than Manar Park which is about 6 hrs drive from here.

I've got a two seat off roader in the build, and will have a 1200 or similar type bike motor in her. That is going to be good.

Thanks for checking out the buggies, and hope to share ideas with you guys.
Cheers fellas.

Let us know how the 30 series Torque Converter holds up with the 16HP engine.
30 series are rated for about 8HP, some people had issues with the 1" bore 30 series TC's on bigger engines. What size tires, how is it geared, how are belts holding up???
