Been watching for a week or so and I'm learning a little with each visit. Just bought my son a murray outrage ( at least that is what I think it is). Wasn't running and looked kinda rough. I cleaned the carb and fixed some wiring issues and got it running in about 4 hours. Since then I've pressure washed it and greased and lubed fittings and points of movement. Will be recovering the seat in the next couple of days, previous owner had bulldogs who seemed to enjoy chewing the seat.
I think I've gotten myself into trouble because now I want one. Found a Murray explorer on Graigslist tonight for $250. It said it only needed a recoil rope to start. Does this sound like a good deal? I'd really like to get a full suspension kart because my son's is pretty rough on the back. Also have a found a full suspension kart for $700 it seems to be on of those Chinese deals, not to sure.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed the post and hope to build or make some serious modifications to a stock kart in the near future. I have a small welder, plasma cutter, chopsaw, misc. grinders and such. This seems like a good hobby that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get into.
thanks
