New from Alabama. Hand crafting my go kart is my hobby

I have been building my cart for about ten years. Home made frame with a harbor freight 420 engine.
It also has a 5 speed transmission from a motorcycle with the shift lever mounted on the steering wheel.
Not sure what is more worrisome : how fast it is or the fact that the frame is homemade by me.

identical but diamond tread tires and the black seat with silver stripe. ha nice kart there.

The transmission was part of a Kawasaki KZ 400. I took a saws all and sawed it off the engine block. I had to do a lot of modifying and fabing to get it to work.
The whole point of creating this kart was to make a paddle shifter on a for real manual transmission.
The shift lever is mounted on the steering wheel. You can shift gears without letting go of the steering wheel. You can see the shift lever in the pix I posted.
