Just stoppin in to say wassup. I've seen this site a couple times and just found out it has a forum. looks to be active unlike other cart forums. I'm from s.c. and starting my 2nd barstool. My first one had the live axle, honda clone and tav2. This one will have a 3.5hp tecumseh, clutch and livewheel simply for a cheap build just for cruising the neighborhood and running on mostly pavement.

heres the old stool from the first of this year.

Well i started on another stool frame sunday afternoon. Thinking of doin something alil different maybe a cooler cuiser or wagon I dont know. I'm tryn to keep the cost down on this one. Build something alil more stable, live wheel for easy turning, just for cruising. when it starts to look like something i will post some pics when that day comes.

how's the stability and turning on the current one? is that a live axle? what problems did you encounter?

Well the one that i'm currently building I have not yet got to that stage yet. But the last one was ok in the dirt it could have used a differential axle to be alil more fun, racing kart tires and hydraulic brakes. But Its a barstool and not a $5K racing kart you know.

This one i'm building, I have bought a Spare old yard cart and i have robbed the motor mount, spindles and brackets, tie rod ends, sprocket and wheels and tires. since i will not be running a live axle that will save on some overhead. I might just build a free wheeling axle with some 1" box and 5/8" allthread instead of welding bolts to the side of the frame.
