Hello everyone I bought a doodle bug for me and my kids to Cruze around the neighborhood in. Not sure of the model I'll post pics of it tomorrow after work. I bought it for 150 it's red and has some minor rust and has the original grafics on it. The guy that had it befor me put a Briggs 900 on it. It's pretty quick but I need to adjust the motor a little bit he has it too far right and I need some new tires soon. I think I might turn it into a track/drag bike depending on funds.

My doodle

I bought this doodle bug for me and my kids to play around the neighborhood on. Right now it has a 9 hp Briggs and I have not found any aftermarket parts for it. I am thinking of putting a gx390 in its place because of how many parts that are out for it. My plan is to make a all around good at everything bike like drag, road corse, and fun machine. I am going to try to keep it quiet so I don't make the neighborhood mad at me but I will have a detachable muffler for when I want to be loud.

I like the Muffler in the pic. Reminds me of a battery powered radio I used to have. LOL

He probably had the engine to the right like that so that everything lined up on the sprocket side. You are going to have to adjust the sprockets or something to line it all up again if you move the engine

Today I took the motor off and made a bolt template. I scored on the motor plate where I need new holes. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the engine cleaned and de greased then re mounted. Next will be to get a header made and to buy new tires and brake pads.

Mine doesn't not have a jack shaft just a chain tensioner. The 9 horse is temporary until I get enough money for a gx390 swap

I found out the 9 horse I have is a non race version of the animal. I couldn't mess with the bike today because my wife had surgery and its raining. So maybe tomorrow I can get it back together and ride my kids around.

Always wondered how these bike tackle corners as they seem rather straight line oriented.
Would be nice if one popped up in the UK just for a giggle.
Have fun.

Today after the rain I put my phone gps on my doodle to check my speed and it went about 31/32 with me and my 4 year old son on it with a max weight of 180/190 between us

I was thinking... I have the rear swing arm from my cateye bike and I might use it on my doodle bug to mak it a soft tail and by doing this it would make the bike longer too if that makes sense.

I have my throttle figured out now. So all I need is a clutch, jackshaft some bearings, chain and that's it

Right now I have a 70 tooth sprocket for my doodle and I want some decent speed what size sprocket should I get on my clutch. I'm getting the noram star and it will be going on a gx390. Also I have no idea about what sprockets I will need on my jack shaft

My db goes 42 mph with a 12 tooth clutch and a 70 tooth rear and no jack shaft on a mildly modded GX160. It went 30something before I put it on 15% nitro.
