New DIY go kart questions

Alright so I bought a second hand electric go kart project online and my main intention now is doing it up.

It's rather DIY and quickly done with no contactor, undersized wiring, no fuse or precharge resistor and unmatched batteries etc that I plan to fix all the problems.

My question is What size ohm precharge resistor do I need inline with the contactor which will also be placed online from the battery positive to motor controller

Also What size fuse do I need from battery positive to motor controller....

all 5 of the batteries will soon all be rt12220Ev ritar batteries. 12v 22ah. 20hr

the motor is a 60-72 volt 1800w (BM1424ZXF)

the controller is undersized for some reason rated at 1.5kw so 1500w and 60volts 45 amps.

all of the yellow blocks are just terminal block connectors

Welcome Since I see there isn't a lot of action in the electric karts section here, I wonder if you might get better info from going to a golf cart website, like Buggies Gone Wild. I remember they had a few sharp guys on there, and they have several sections devoted to electric karts.

Figure out how to do the direct message thing with others on this forum, talk to Functional Artist, or to Epsilon Zero. They do that stuff a lot.

I have a Baja DN150cc I can’t get it to start unless I run starting fluid in it and it’ll stay running, it has spark all parts are new I don’t know what else to do, all wiring is wired the way it should be, any help would be great!

When I first looked at the electric forum here, the top several posts entries were several months old, so I didn't think it was a popular topic. After your post I looked closer and saw more current entries - there is more interest in them than I thought.
It still may not hurt for him - or anyone interested in electric kart projects - to check out the golf kart sites. There is a huge
interest in electric kart upgrades - 72V karts are becoming common with some golf carts running over 100 volts!
