Don't feel bad, I not sure about everything, but hey that part of the fun, might start with the RWD and work up to AWD, The only different is two pulleys and two universal joints, hope to post more of prototype planes next week. Thanks Charles

Souperman, I will use a belt driven unit off of a pulley from engine, to a shaft in the upper handle bar with a u joint and a pulley, it will only be 2 wheel drive when it is strait, how ever I am working with a engineer to come up with a engagement unit that will allow the unit to be 2 wheel to be engaged on the fly or all of the time if wanted , I hope to have drawing ready next week of 2 wheel drive system and rear wheel drive system, to post for feed back, thanks Charles

I like the plans. I would probably go for the RWD because of simplicity and less parts to cause a pain in the neck. If you are geared correctly you won't have any need for AWD

I think I will start with the one wheel drive first. For those of you out there that want to know more about two wheel drive, I am posting some old patents, that have not been renew as a starting place, by adding the two together you should be able to get a true two wheel drive.:cheers2:

Hydrolic pump with lines going to the front wheel with a torque converter attached to the front wheel. So when the pump spins up the fluid would push against vanes in the front wheel, run both wheels with said hydrolic system for same speed.

Or why not shaft drive to both rear and front wheel with a 3 piece drive shaft to the front so that it has more ability to turn then a two peice drive shaft.

Great feed back, ScarletVW , I have a old hydro-state mower with two pumps, maybe they would work, will try to post pic of them soon.

Old lawn mower parts.

Was going to trash it in the junk yard, but some parts might be useful. Also a pic of my work shop, have not use it yet due to my Dads sickness, but am going to use it now to weld and machine the new bike.:sifone:

Sorry about your dad I'll pray for him. Anyways you should be able to get some useful stuff out of the mower.
