New Chain problem

Hey guys so my chain broke on my kart so i replaced it with a new one. Problem is when i start accelerating it makes a jerking sound. As i go faster the jerking sounds goes faster. The alignment of the sprockets look pretty good..did i make it too tight? Any ideas? heres what my kart looks like. http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=31083

The chain is skipping so either the chain is out of line or the sprocket center isn't perfectly center or the chain may be too loose or tight

OR....he bought a #40/41/420 chain for a #35 sprocket...(which best fits the symptoms.)

you checked your sprockets for wear?

if the sprocket teeth are pointy or asymmetrical already.. you must replace them.

show a pic of both your sprockets.
