im building my first go cart and need some help with a few things.
1) does anyone know anything about Powermax 16HP engines and if they are good for go carts? Is 16HP even nessasary?
2) i have an old Max Torque converter but need a new one. What do i get and where.
3) how do i determine the speed of my cart. Concerning axel sprocket, converter sprocket, CVT, as well as RPM of my engine?

PLEASE HELP!

Is the engine vertical or horizontal shaft? Also what did it come off of?

Probably means 1" shaft.

I would say if you already have the engine then go for it, it will be great. If you are about to go out and buy it then I would say it is a LITTLE bit excessive for a yard kart.

sorry about the 1" bore. like i said im new to all this and am just tryin to figure out the basics. Ok so 16HP could be to much. i could also get the same type of engine in a 13HP. But with that said i still need to know what torque converter set up i need to get. Ive been lookin on gocartparts.com at a comet 40/44 series as well as the 500 series but there pretty expensive and im not really sure thats what i even need.
