yupp... that's what I'm seeing as well, it's just... I asked Robert to be sure why..
there's no reason that should affect ALL polls.

okay so after you posted this thread i thought i would build a camera mount. well it was a failure. ill show pics soon.

But searching just now for mounts i saw this on youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg1tICmpb4w

There are people making homemade versions of this. Looks promising. Get two cameras a long poll and mount to helmet! This video even shows how to setup for good video angles.

Looks like i need two cameras now! and a helmet might be a good start for me anyways :)

not a fan.. much better.. still not a fan ;)

check thirdpersonview.com
(they have an annoying video right at the beginning, which is just what I'd like videos to look like personally ;))

Anyways.. in their shop there's a 35 buck helmet gimbal to get you started quick and relatively cheap ;)

such pole can be mounted to a kart real quick and cheap... so yeah IDK
a second cam and a rotation you cannot control mounted on a 5ft pole on your head..
REALLY?!!??? that sounds like a joke!

Sid I looked at the site and I'm not positive but that 35 euro mount looks like its just a mount excluding the gimbal which I don't see in the products.
I could be wrong but that's what it looked like to me anyways.

ooops, you're correct.. gimbal not included :(
Ah well... it'd been too nice if :D

a not too shabby purely mechanical gimabal shouldn't be too hard to make actually... and cheap ;)
I'll check what I have laying around and see what I can do with that ;)

I think what i will do is buy a good universal gimble (phone and gopro) and build my own mounts for the race kart and the trike back behind me to create a good 3rd person mount.

Ill order the gimble friday and make the mounts monday when i get it.

Hmmmm,

Well after some research I've yet to find a gimbal that has both gopro and smart phone cradles (big enough for a S6 3.5" wide)
That has 1/4" thread for extension rods that is worth a heap.
There are some out there but reviews say any rough terrain and they kind of flop around..........
and those are the $200-300 models haha.................

Anyone have any good gimbals they know of?

You should go to the 'Poboy Store'.

We have several options to fit your needs. We have the original "selfies" for $38.99 ...( Polaroid land cameras).

Unfortunately, some of the pics in the camera cannot be sold, ( something about "undeveloped young women".)

But we also have some VCR's .....Betta didn't see that coming! Our lightweight models come in at 47 lbs.

Hope we can help....2010 closeout going on now!

Nice guys.

Just grab your kid, or neighbors kid. Strap them to a skateboard or roller blades and rope. Tie to kart make them record while you have fun. Done! third person view, with real third person. Or um second person?

Well 1st day testing 3rd person view mounts on the trike was a total failure.vibration was so bad it was shutting off the camera lol and at one point my camera flung off 20 feet behind me.

I think the frame is gonna be a no go. The body acts as a dampening system for my head cam setup i suppose.

yah i think that is key. Mine did same thing . too much vibration. Thats why i thought the helmet cam would eliminate that problem. Need a really large rubber damper if you connect to kart frame.
