Need to raise engine up...

Hi y'all...need some advice on raising engine about 1" to allow for clearance of header pipe and breather adaptor. Can I just using some nuts under engine with some longer bolts? Build is on a mini bike

Buy some 1" square tubing, drill holes, use longer bolts.

I'd rather have the engine on a 2x4 than just resting on the nuts.
Tubing is the way to go.

Not just square tubing, THICK WALL square tubing; thin wall will crush...

They are from Briggs. Arguably a very good way to raise an engine 1". But what do I know? I find ways to lower stuff.

Makes me wonder if anyone has ever "hung" a small engine, instead of using the bottom mounting plate. Maybe using the tapped holes for the gas tank.
