I am starting a project for myself and to be used as a demo project for the company I work for... I do understand that I could buy a 4 wheeled electric scooter but that would be to easy and no fun to build...
I am building a 4 wheeled electric scooter/icechest/rolling audio system for my personal entertainment and for a demo project for the company I work for, Arc Audio...
We will be building the frame, suspension, body, cosmetics, audio system etc... with a local shop that builds race cars and race car chassis for a few of the Nascar teams. The problem I am havng is picking the correct components that will work for the criteria of the project. What I need to purchase is the follwing...
Elecric Motor
speed controller
throttle
brakes
I already have all of the batteries lined up etc....
I would like it to be able to easily haul up 550 lbs (Cart, system and rider) at speeds up to 20mph or more... the biggest concern is a higher torque specification to be complaient to the weight issue we will be fighting here and still hope to retain a decent run time on the batteries....
as far as budget... I would say no more than $1000 for the motor, controller, and throttle assembly.....
any suggestions will be greatly appretiated...
